Legends of Rock, the third in its series, is the first Guitar Hero to be released with the Wii as one of its operating platforms. The Wii is the most recently released video game system from Nintendo. Fresh downloadable content will be offered on multiple platforms, and players can now shred to a set list from many of the greatest rock songs ever recorded. Gamers who missed out on the original release should not hesitate to pick this up immediately, but how about those who already dropped a small fortune on the PS2 bundle(s)? It’s exactly the same as the one issued with the original game for the WI. Love the wireless guitars for this game. The guitar has stickers on it from the little set that came with it, Guitar is still in excellent shape and comes with original packaging as well. The Wii version does not have stereo sound! Activision screwed up with this one. But as I said, that is most likely only for the Wii version. Guitar Hero III for the Wii will be the “unique” one of the bunch as it’s the only version that requires players to plug in a Wii remote before they can start rocking out.

I have never before experienced such realistic battery changing on a home console before . The Wii’s controller looks nothing like the traditional games console joypad. It comes in two separate pieces for a start – the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk. For the first time ever, adventure games can be played on a console without the D-pad or analog stick controls disliked by so many adventure gamers. But that is just scratching the surface of what the Wii could do for adventure games. The system is unique in that the console’s controller - affectionately dubbed the ‘wii-mote’ - can be used as a handheld pointing device as well as detecting motion in all three dimensions. The controller also contains a speaker and a rumbling device.
